Cold Outside, Chaos Inside & Zero Time to Stand Still ❄️🐶

Another cold one today… but we stayed nice and warm by doing what we do best — keeping very busy with lots of doggos in the salon!

First through the door was Griff the Labradoodle, who is completely crackers in the best possible way and has a personal vendetta against the blow dryer. He spent most of his groom trying to attack it like it owed him money. Honestly, we admire the confidence.

Next up was sweet little Mable the Dachshund, who is still absolutely tiny — despite technically growing. She remains pocket-sized and perfect, and we will hear no arguments.

We then welcomed newbies Willow and Milo, who made themselves right at home at The Dog House. Milo, still young and learning, did his very best to show off his manners. He forgot himself once or twice (who wouldn’t — grooming can be scary!), but he tried so hard he’s officially earned himself a gold star ⭐.

Willow, on the other hand, was an absolute superstar… right up until we touched her feet. At that point, this little lady was done. There may have been a few sneaky love bites, but considering her past experience with a groomer and her feet, we’re giving Willow full control while we build trust at her pace. We also fell completely in love with her sweet little face and the kisses she gave us between the nibbles — balance is important.

We then had two more newbies, Monty and Snowy. Snowy was a completely new breed to us (we love learning!), and Monty came equipped with a tail that simply does not stop. We’re genuinely surprised it hasn’t fallen off from exhaustion yet.

Teddy the Terrier joined us too. Teddy still finds grooming tricky and does make quite a bit of noise while he’s in the salon, but we’re working through it together. Underneath it all, he’s the cuddliest little smoocher ever — he just needs a bit of extra patience and understanding, and we’re more than happy to give it.

All in all, it was a busy, brilliant day filled with beautiful doggos, wagging tails, learning moments and lots of love. Cold outside, warm hearts inside — just how we like it at The Dog House 💜🐾
