Weekend Wags, Kisses & Chaos 🐶✨
Saturday was BUSY busy at The Dog House… We kicked things off with Patch, the handsome Springer x Husky who is always a total gent and never misses a chance to be spoiled rotten by his mum from the shop 🥰. Next up was Amber, the pretty doodle who is lovely in every way… except when it comes to having her face done — absolute nope, thank you very much 😅. Jen came in for a HUGE transformation after missing a few grooms due to surgery. We’re so glad to have her back — and she

Today’s Blog 🐾
Both Sherree and Siobhan were flat out grooming today, with a full salon and lots of happy (and very fluffy) doggos in the house. We welcomed Bonnie , a newbie Australian Labradoodle who did brilliantly for her first visit and took everything in her stride like a pro. Sheba the Chow Chow was in too – always a big personality and always leaving behind a reminder of just how much coat one dog can produce 😅. The cockapoo crew were strong today with Wanda , Coco , and Biscuit

🛠️ Fluff, First Grooms & Big Progress 🐾
Construction in the shop is finished and wow – what a bloody good job our Merv has done! We’re so grateful for his hard work and help. The space is really coming together now, and we honestly can’t wait to diversify what we offer at the shop very soon 👀✨ Now… on to today’s doggos! Sweet old man Max was in for his weekly bath. Siobhan absolutely adores this boy – he’s such a gentle soul and forever a favourite cuddle. We then welcomed the most adorable puppy toy poodle in

Tails Wagging Through the Renovations 🐾
Both Sherree and Siobhan were in today getting stuck into grooms, while Merv was back continuing some of the construction work inside the shop. A huge thank you to all our lovely customers and doggos for being so patient and understanding while we renovate and upgrade — it’s all for a very exciting new venture coming soon 👀✨ We had the beautiful Mabel in today, who will forever be a puppy at heart. She’s the sweetest little girl, full of love, tail wags, and always ready

How do I turn this thing on?
Siobhan wasn’t on the tools today, but she’s been busy behind the scenes updating online platforms and getting everything ready for an exciting new project coming soon to The Dog House… 👀✨ keep your eyes peeled! Sherree kicked off the day with her regular Simba the Chow Chow . Simba is always beyond excited to come in — full-on tail wags, kisses, and his trademark bear hugs. He has such a big personality and somehow still manages to shed a ridiculous amount of hair, even th

Sunday at the Dog House
We were absolutely lovely to see Grace today as she popped in to groom some doggos with us. She had a set of three gorgeous spaniels and the legendary Hamish the angry doodle 😅. It was so nice catching up with her, seeing how well she’s doing, and we honestly can’t wait to welcome her baby boy in March — very exciting times ahead! Sherree kicked off her day with a trio of her own — two cuties and two large greyhounds, who made it very clear that personal space is optional. T

Today at The Dog House…
We kicked off nice and early with Sherree and Buzby the Highland Terrier — yes, named after the football manager, not the cartoon (important clarification). A seriously handsome boy, and his lovely owners arrived bearing coffee for Sherree and Siobhan, which automatically makes them VIPs in our eyes. Very, very appreciated ☕️💜 We welcomed two newbies today — Poppy the Maltese and Lilly the Havanese. Both girls were a little nervous after not-so-great experiences elsewher

Today at The Dog House… it was a doodle takeover.
Not one, not two, but THREE different types of doodle strutted through our doors today — Harriet, Picco and Willow. Honestly, if there had been one more curly coat we might have had to rename the salon The Doodle House for the day. Trixie the pom mix then arrived and promptly donated what felt like her entire coat to the salon floor. We’re fairly sure half of it is still floating around somewhere. She also continued her favourite hobby of trying to eat the air coming out o

A Quiet Day, A Bit of Theatre & One Very Talented Collie 🎭🐾
It was a quieter day at The Dog House today, with Sherree out of the salon taking a well-earned break to watch her niece in her final performance of The Sound of Music — a very special day and definitely one worth stepping away for. Holding the fort was Siobhan, who had Tia , the most beautiful merle Collie with those absolutely piercing blue eyes that could stop you in your tracks. Tia is quite the character — she sings like a husky, will happily chew her way out of anythi

Another Busy Day, Another Bunch of Brilliant Doggos 🐾
Siobhan kicked off the day with Sully , who she’s groomed since he was just a tiny baby. Even though he’s still young, Sully remains one of the calmest, most chilled dogs you’ll ever meet. He’s always been this way — relaxed, happy, and totally unfazed by the whole grooming process. Honestly, we’d all like a bit of Sully’s energy in our lives. Next up was Bear , the Bernese Mountain Dog puppy, in for his first ever groom with Sherree at just 6 months old . He may still be a

Best Friends, First Grooms & A Very Exciting Launch 🎉🐶
Today gave us one of those days that just makes your heart full. We welcomed Oscar the Labrador , who turned 15 yesterday — happy birthday to this absolute legend! Oscar was every bit the old gent we adore: tail wagging, good as gold, and very happy to take plenty of sit-down breaks throughout his groom. He finished his visit with a well-earned cheeky camel skin treat , which he thoroughly enjoyed. We could all learn a thing or two from Oscar’s pace of life. Joining him was

Love, Drama, Long Tongues & One Very Happy Organiser 🐶🧹
We kicked off today with Old Man Max coming in for his weekly bath — although “coming in” might be generous. Max completely refused to enter the building until he spotted Siobhan, at which point he suddenly remembered exactly why he comes here every week. Love, cuddles and the possibility of a sneaky treat will do that to a dog. Siobhan absolutely adores this old gentleman and all of his stubborn little ways. Next up was groom time for Sherree with Miss Dotty . Dotty arrive

Cold Outside, Chaos Inside & Zero Time to Stand Still ❄️🐶
Another cold one today… but we stayed nice and warm by doing what we do best — keeping very busy with lots of doggos in the salon! First through the door was Griff the Labradoodle , who is completely crackers in the best possible way and has a personal vendetta against the blow dryer. He spent most of his groom trying to attack it like it owed him money. Honestly, we admire the confidence. Next up was sweet little Mable the Dachshund , who is still absolutely tiny — despite

Ice Rinks, No-Shows & Enough Hair to Knit a Jumper ❄️☕🐶
Despite some of the roads still resembling ice rinks rather than actual roads, both Sherree and Siobhan braved it and were back in grooming today. Full marks for commitment… slightly fewer for the weather. The day started with Siobhan’s first dog being a no-show — not ideal, not appreciated, and definitely not the vibe. Thankfully, spirits were lifted when Old Man Max arrived for his weekly bath. At 16 years young and officially Siobhan’s favourite doggo (no arguments accep

Snow Days, Shop Days & Slightly Mad Groomers ❄️🐾
Well… this week did not quite go to plan, did it? Thanks to the sudden arrival of Snowmageddon , we’ve had a fair few unavoidable cancellations. As much as we love fluffy dogs, icy roads and grooming tables don’t mix very well — and everyone’s safety always comes first. While the snow has been busy causing chaos outside, we’ve definitely not been sitting around drinking hot chocolate (okay… maybe some hot chocolate). Siobhan has been knee-deep in website updates, typing furi
