Ice Rinks, No-Shows & Enough Hair to Knit a Jumper ❄️☕🐶

Despite some of the roads still resembling ice rinks rather than actual roads, both Sherree and Siobhan braved it and were back in grooming today. Full marks for commitment… slightly fewer for the weather.

The day started with Siobhan’s first dog being a no-show — not ideal, not appreciated, and definitely not the vibe. Thankfully, spirits were lifted when Old Man Max arrived for his weekly bath. At 16 years young and officially Siobhan’s favourite doggo (no arguments accepted), Max reminded us all that age is just a number — especially when a warm bath is involved.

Next up was Daisy, the cutest little Cockapoo who is still very much a baby… but now she can actually see. Even better, Dad has now realised that Daisy does not need three baths a week. Character development at its finest.

Trigger, the very handsome black spaniel, popped in looking effortlessly stylish as always, followed by Rio, the Romanian Shepherd who generously donated enough hair to knit at least one jumper. Possibly two.

Then came Demi, a first-time visitor and a Bearded Collie in serious need of a groom. She arrived looking a little worse for wear but left feeling and looking absolutely amazing — and loved every minute of it.

Much-needed coffee was provided by the farm shop (currently renovating — thank you, lifesavers), and to round off the day, Siobhan’s dad popped in with a tape measure for some big plans Sherree has lined up for the shop. Tape measures mean business, and we’re very excited.

All in all: icy roads, fluffy chaos, happy dogs, caffeine and big ideas — a pretty perfect day at The Dog House.

Same again tomorrow… but maybe without the ice 🐾💜
