We kicked off today with Old Man MaxĀ coming in for his weekly bath ā although ācoming inā might be generous. Max completely refused to enter the building until he spotted Siobhan, at which point he suddenly remembered exactly why he comes here every week. Love, cuddles and the possibilityĀ of a sneaky treat will do that to a dog. Siobhan absolutely adores this old gentleman and all of his stubborn little ways.
Next up was groom time for Sherree with Miss Dotty. Dotty arrived with main-character energy and made it very clear that she was running the show. Plenty of opinions, plenty of attitude, and just enough sweetness to get away with all of it ā a proper diva, but we wouldnāt have her any other way.
Then came Little Tilly, who quite frankly deserves an Oscar. The dramatic performance she puts on when sheās dropped off is something else ā the shaking, the sorrow, the deep emotional struggle. And then⦠Mum leaves⦠and the performance immediately stops. Completely fine. Absolutely fine. We laugh every single time.
Mr Henry the Shih TzuĀ joined us too, and honestly, his tongue deserves its own postcode. Heās less Shih Tzu and more giraffe, and is fully capable of licking his own eyebrows while looking utterly fed up with the situation. His facial expressions are priceless, he keeps us entertained from start to finish, and he is always such a good boy.
While all of this was going on, Siobhan spent most of her day in the back organising and sorting. The result? One industrial-sized bag of rubbish and a beautifully organised space where everything now has a home. Most importantly ā Siobhan is happy, which means everyone else is happy too š
All in all, another brilliant day at The Dog House ā full of love, laughs, drama (mostly canine) and very happy doggos šš¾
