Snow Days, Shop Days & Slightly Mad Groomers ❄️🐾

Well… this week did not quite go to plan, did it?

Thanks to the sudden arrival of Snowmageddon, we’ve had a fair few unavoidable cancellations. As much as we love fluffy dogs, icy roads and grooming tables don’t mix very well — and everyone’s safety always comes first.

While the snow has been busy causing chaos outside, we’ve definitely not been sitting around drinking hot chocolate (okay… maybe some hot chocolate).

Siobhan has been knee-deep in website updates, typing furiously, muttering about buttons, colours and things mysteriously called “meta descriptions” — all so the website looks lovely and works better for you. If you spot anything shiny and new online, that’ll be her handiwork.

Meanwhile, Sherree has been on a full business-upgrade mission: planning, organising, improving systems and giving the shop some much-needed love behind the scenes. There may or may not have been measuring tapes involved. Possibly spreadsheets. Definitely strong coffee.

So while the dogs stayed warm at home, we’ve been busy making sure The Dog House is even better when things get back to normal. Snow days might slow grooming down, but they don’t stop us tinkering, planning and dreaming up improvements.

Thank you so much for your patience, understanding and lovely messages this week — it genuinely means the world to us. We’re very much looking forward to welcoming muddy paws, wet noses and wagging tails back through the door soon (preferably without the snow).
